The biggest topic of discussion in the real estate industry recently has been the Pune Smart City proposal. The reason behind the Smart City plan is the continual growth of the city’s population. It is estimated that Pune’s population will grow from 5.5 to 7.7 million by 2030. This will create immense challenges for the city’s urban infrastructure.
At KUL we understood that there will be a need to provide different types of homes for this foreseeable future. The project would need to comprise clean, safe surroundings, with every amenity and requirement within a short distance from home. This idea transformed into a vision of a township like no other. Years of planning and construction has resulted in KUL Ecoloch, an Integrated Township!
KUL Ecoloch is a one-of-a-kind township, spread over 103 acres at Mahalunge-Nande Road, behind Mahalunge-Balewadi Stadium. Its design is supported by in-depth research of all the features and amenities that a home owner would want and need to live a comfortable life.
The township provides multidimensional solutions to families, including communication and security, excellent medical and educational facilities, stylish and luxurious apartments, retail outlets, fitness and sports avenues, and social venues.
The entire township’s electrical and security facilities is supported by a Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON). This is the first time a private township in India is incorporating GPON as part of its facilities.
The GPON comprises Fiber to the Floor (FTTF) and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technologies. These technologies are not only known for their speed and stability, but also their eco-friendly and energy saving capabilities.
With the GPON, world class security and communication amenities will be provided to the residents of KUL Ecoloch. These include:
• Telephones: At KUL Ecoloch, residents will never have to deal with clumsy telephone lines. The township comprises IP phones, which will enable them to make video calls. They will also have the freedom to choose a telephone operator from any well-known brand in the city.
• Utilities: All major services such as elevators, water supply, transformers, diesel generator sets, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Wireless Transaction Protocol (WTP) will be monitored by the GPON.
• Broadband Internet: The Broadband Internet download speed will be up to 100 MBPS, allowing for fast and smooth internet usage and communication. Residents can also select any service provider of their choice. There will also be multi-DTH setup box facilities, which residents can plug and play – no antennas required. Residents will be able to see CCTV footage on their televisions. Also, the entire Ecoloch campus will be Wi-Fi enabled.
• KUL Portal: The Township will have an integrated portal with all the relevant information that the residents will require. This includes building management feedback, and a call center for information regarding utility bills, general notices, complaints, and grievances. All residents will be able to access the portal and view the information. They can also find information on groceries, food, medical services, etc. Residents can also send in their complaints and suggestions regarding the maintenance of the complex.
The proposal to make Pune a Smart City may be still in session. But with KUL Ecoloch, Kumar Builders is already creating a smart, bright, and happy future for Puneites.
