Solid waste management, waste water management, rainwater harvesting, greening urban spaces, water conservation and environmental education are but a few focus areas. KUL is among the first Construction Companies to have obtained an ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Certification.
And, we don’t just limit these green initiatives to KUL projects. Several educational institutions, NGOs, and civic spaces have benefited from our Green Touch! Apart from having donated thousands of trees to Civic authorities, KUL has donated Bio-sanitizer bins to NGOs such as the Bharatiya Samaj Seva Kendra and educational institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalaya and St. Joseph’s High School.
Our residential project KUL Sublime at Kondhwa holds the distinction of being the first Eco-Housing project in India to get provisional certificate from the International Institute of Energy Conservation (IIEC). In the last few years, the development of an Environment Park and Nakshatra Vatika in Pune further reiterated our commitment towards City Greening.
Most developers might consider an in-house nursery an unnecessary expense. But at KUL, we have an in-house nursery with over 30,000 plants in more than 40 varieties! These plants add a touch of lushness to all our residential and commercial spaces. Our journey from being Kumar Builders to KUL has been about balancing our age-old values of hard work, trust, knowledge and performance with new-age best practices that adhere to international standards. When you invest in a KUL residential or commercial space, you have a reason to be proud about having chosen an Environmentally Responsible project.
These are but a few examples of KUL’s initiatives towards being an environmentally responsible developer. For more details on our latest projects, please visit our website.
